The psychology of impulsive shopping

Well, we are on dates where purchases increase significantly, this news I seemed relevant and appropriate considering the times we live.
Consumers around the world are dedicated this season to buy, and often they tend to overindulge and do unplanned purchases.
The sales assistants, marketing and other own strategies trade, stimulate people to shop and many of these are irrational by consumers, who end up buying things you do not need and these stimulate reckless and mindless spending.
Tomas, the author of the news, says that most of the products are chosen for their symbolic value, that is, the psychological meaning for the consumer. This is particularly true in the case of impulsive buying.  He say, that impulsive purchases occur when: consumers perceive that the product or brand they are buying matches their own attitudes and self-views helping them express and cement their own sense of identity and we are stressed or when we perceive a lack of control over situations.
Something important that he say is the products that consumer buys, and especially brands, play the role of symbolic trophies that consumers use to consolidate their self-concept and communicate it to others. The brands, in some other way make us feel important and this is key when we go to shopping, and for we pretend something we are not, we may end up buying  buying things you don’t  really need.
"People who feel they are naturally superior or more important than others, tend to exercise more self-control and are less vulnerable to impulsive buying".. It is really sad, I personally believe that many people don't have enough money is the most falls into this kind of impulse buying, also I think they don't know how to manage their money.

Feedback Octavia :)

Hi! Well I know I said I would write about cats, but I change (T) my opinion. Today I’m going to talk about art, specifically about a painter that I love: Matisse. Henri Émile Benoît Matisse was an important French painter. He used the color like no other! He was one of the principal represents of Fauvism, a pictorial movement characterized by the use of strong colors, not necessarily inspired on the reality.
My mom is a painter too, so I grow up (T) between canvas, paint, paint brush and books of art. That’s why for me art is so important and I decided write about it. I love Matisse because I think he painted the beautiful and essential of the nature. Even he said: “A work of art must be harmonious in its entirety: any superfluous detail would replace some other essential detail in the mind of the spectator”. So the nature is the inspiration, but good art is not about doing a copy of nature, we have to put something of us in our productions.
I think Matisse do (C) his in an exceptional way! Saving the best of the nature and mixing it with their own sensing. Added to this, he had a natural ability for proportions and to do a fluid line even when he wasn’t yet a professional painter. Well to be precise, he was also sculptor, draftsman, and in their last years because of his sickness he couldn’t paint so he did amazing collage (WW).

Where rainbows ends..

In this moment, besides of read the books that I need for the University, either for work or to my memory, I'm reading a book called "Where rainbows ends”, of Cecelia Ahern.
The genre of this book is a novel, which narrates a love story. A friend told me that I should to read, and sent me the link for facebook.
The truth is that I enjoyed this book. To be honest, it isn’t a type of book that I read usually, but I'm enjoying it a lot.
This book is different because the author writes through letters, emails, postcards, chats and a series of ways, for the that have been reported two best friends throughout his life, through these messages the history of both is told it, besides the things that are happening with the passing of time.
Rosie and Alex, are the protagonists of the book, and are two friends who have known since childhood, and over the years (when both are adult), they realize that both feel a great love for other.
A year ago, was premiered the movie called "Love, Rosie", the movie of this book. This is nice, but I feel that the essence of the book that is the strong friendship of both has been lost, giving way to the narrative of a story that was only of love from the start, and it is not.
In fact, the confusion that beginning to feel Alex and Rosie affected deeply both, and this doesn't look as reflected in the movie.
They after have made their lives, they get married with other persons, and they had children, fail in their relationships, they decide finally to take a chance. This is that the shows the Book.

Horror Movies :)

Today I want to write about movies. I love movies in general, I think that always is good see a good movie together with a good food. I don’t like watch a movie without eat any things, this makes me feel anxious.
Well, I love watching scary movies. Today, the truth I think these films are very repetitive and most have the same storyline and this makes them predictable and boring. Every time I see a film of "horror" is no fun, not even I get scared!! It's a shame, fear and suspense of what might happen in them was interesting. Some classic films and I find very well produced are: Psycho, the exorcist,  the birds, the texas chainsaw massacre, the omen, a nightmare on Elm Street, and other that I don’t remember now.  Many of these films have been revised and re-released today, but many of them have lost the essence of the first film, for example: psycho, carrie, the texas chainsaw massacre, and many others.
A film that I liked and I went to see to the cinema was the Ouija. All last times that I gone to the cinema to see a movie of "horror", I left disappointed, but with the Ouija was different, I felt that while some scenes was quite precarious effects, if maintained the suspense in almost all movie.

But definitely, there is not as old horror movies. Shortage innovation so that these are good.

Pascualina :)

Think about a person I admire is very difficult. But to do the effort, I thought in Pascualina. A little witch (that today isn't a young girl), that accompanied me with their diary throughout my childhood and adolescence. When I was a child I admired her, I liked his stories and advice writing along their diary. I know her for my cousin, because she had a diary of Pascualina and she show it and I liked this diary.
Pascualina, is a witch that live with your parents and brothers. All family members are witches, and initially this was the emphasis of the diary. With the years this changed and Pascualina was increasingly interested in art and now their diaries are complete works of art, with many different designs.
His strength is to always see the positive side of things, she assume the events as a learning and a means to get ahead, because She believe that everything has a meaning in life. Your sensitivity and depth make it difficult to forget the people, especially those with whom She has shared significant moments of her life. This really inspires me of her.
Pascualina teaches having principles and be faithful to them, do not get carried away by the atmosphere and other persons and enjoy every moment that gives us life.
I love Pascualina, It reminds me of my childhood.

♺ Ecology and recycling ♺

Hello Class
To be honest I'm not "Green person" for different reasons. The first reason why I can't to be an ecological person is because in my home I live with my parents and sisters, and if I would like separate the garbage for example simply I can't. I don't stay in my home every days for check that my family separate the garbage! We have spoken about it, but for space, time and other things, it isn't possible.
I incorporate recycling in my habits, only when I throw out the glass bottle in the containers, and I put paper in box for recycling it. But, despite I'm not "Green Person" I wish help the planet, for example, I never throw trash on the ground, and I teach my sisters, cousins, friends to don't do. If I don't find a trash can, I keep my garbage with me until you find one. Beside, my father disassemble different object technological, and he separated the metals and plastics and he carry it to different places that need these things, either for exchange or sale.
I love nature and always try to take care when going for a walk, or camping with my family and friends.
I think that in our society missing a lot for do regarding this issue. I feel that there isn't a culture of recycling. You have to see the streets, there is a lot of garbage in all sites! is terrible.
The city looks ugly with so much litter. I think as society we should begin for this. It not too much, and not hard to do.
Regards!
